Welcome!

We are located in California, Purple Dragon Fabrics is owned and operated by an aunt/niece team. Founded in 2017, we brought our custom designs to life on fabric and have expanded to include faux leather/vinyl, zippers, and bag making hardware. We have decades of experience and a personal love of sewing with backgrounds in bag making and costuming.

What kind of fabric do you print on?

Cotton Lycra (230-240 gsm, 95% cotton/5% spandex, guaranteed 56” wide) - stretchy knit
Woven (150 gsm, 100% woven cotton, guaranteed 54” wide) - non-stretch cotton, similar to quilting cotton
Swim (80/20 nylon/Lycra(spandex) blend, guaranteed 60" wide) - commonly used for swim suits and running skirts/athletic attire
French Terry : cotton, 4 way stretch with a fine loopy back
Vinyl / Faux Leather : 12" tall x 53-54" wide Roll, multiple rolls will NOT be cut continuously.
Zippers : #5 nylon coil zippers and coordinating pulls

** Please note that coloring may differ slightly between fabric bases due to different fabric composition (cotton vs polyester) and different printing processes. **

What does "retail" / "pre-order" mean?

Pre-orders are orders placed before the bulk order is placed with our suppliers and your order will ship around 8-14 weeks from when the pre-order period closes.

Retail items are ready to ship and will ship 2-7 business days after your order has been placed.
